Astra is a soft patterned sweater knitted in Kos, with European Shoulder construction and a classic look. The sweater is worked from the top down with pattern according to the chart and finished with ribbing at the neck.

All patterns are in English.  Pattern for this design is an electronic PDF download, and the price of the pattern is included in this bundle. Pattern is only available with corresponding yarn.

Needles used (find conversions to US sizes here):

  • Knitting Needles: Knitting Needle no. 4, Knitting Needle no. 4½
  • Knitting tension: 18 sts = 10 cm

Product Details

The sweater is worked from the top down with pattern according to the chart. Stitches are first cast on for the back, which is worked back and forth with increases for the European Shoulder construction. Stitches are then picked up for each front, before the two fronts are joined to form one front piece. The front and back are joined, and the body is worked in the round to the desired length. Stitches are picked up around each armhole for the sleeves, which are worked in the round with pattern according to the chart. The neckband is worked last in ribbing. The model is 189 cm tall and wears a size 1.
