The jacket is knitted from top to bottom in half patent with 1 thread of each quality.
First cast on sts to edge along neck, which is worked in rib. Then sew the stitches in each side on an auxiliary thread to the front edges which are knitted at the end. Then knit stitches along the neck of the back piece. Inc to shoulder on each side, to v-neck and front piece. After all sts for shoulder have been worked, work back piece and front pieces separately under the sleeves. From there, knit the parts together and knit the front and back piece to full length. Pick up stitches around armholes, and knit sleeves around.
