Bloom Cardigan is worked from the top down in Alpakka Følgetråd and Tynn Silk Mohair, holding one strand of each quality together. The cardigan features raglan increases, a charted pattern on the front pieces, double-knitted front bands and an optional collar.

All patterns are in English.  Pattern for this design is an electronic PDF download, and the price of the pattern is included in this bundle. Pattern is only available with corresponding yarn.

Needles used (find conversions to US sizes here):

  • Knitting tension: 23 sts = 10 cm
  • Accessories: 7 buttons, Ø 15 mm

Alpakka Følgetråd (lace weight)

Alpakka Folgetrad (complimentary thread) is an alternative for Tynn Silk Mohair, as a complimentary thread, for those who do not wish a fluffy expression.

We have chosen not to set needle sizes or knitting tension, as we believe it works best as a complimentary thread.

Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair

Tynn Silk Mohair is a soft and luxurious yarn blend made of the finest mohair, wool, and silk fibers. It is thin, lightweight, and goes a long way, making it perfect for creating airy and elegant garments. Using one or multiple strands of Tynn Silk Mohair will give you a plush and airy end product. It can also be used as an accompanying strand with other yarns to add a touch of luxury and structure to your garment.

Product Details

The cardigan is worked from the top down, holding 1 strand of each quality together. Stitches are cast on for the yoke, which is worked back and forth with raglan increases and short rows to shape the neckline, while a charted pattern is worked on the front pieces. When the neckline shaping is complete, the work is continued back and forth with raglan increases. When all increases are complete, the work is divided for the sleeves, front and back, and each section is completed separately and finished with a narrow ribbed edge. Stitches are then picked up for the double-knitted front bands and the ribbed neckband. Choose whether to work the cardigan with or without a collar. Stitches are picked up for the collar, which is worked in a charted pattern.

THE MODEL IS 178 CM TALL AND IS WEARING SIZE S.
