Work singlet from top down in St-st. Begin to cast on sts for left and right side back, and work separately with inc for neckline. Join parts and inc for armholes. Work in same manner left and right side front, but with a deeper neckline. Join work and cont St-st in rnds, with inc to shape A-line skirt. Work 5 scallop edgings, evenly spaced at lower edge of singlet, appearing as layers. Work scallop edgings on neck edge and armhole edges.
