Spindle Spinning

3 classes, June 2nd, 9th, and 16th 

Learn the fundamentals of how to spin yarn! Drop Spindles are the perfect start to creating the yarn you want. In this course, you will learn the relationship between twist and fiber, how various spinning methods result in different yarns, how several fibers change the way yarn behaves, and more! Leave this class with the knowledge of how to start your spinning journey.  

Level: Absolute Beginner

Materials: 
Drop spindle, approx 2-3 ounces
4 ounces of wool, either Sandnes Garn Norwegian Wool or Sophie Rose Fiber Works roving 

Recommended equipment:
A Niddy Noddy and nostepinne, but other tools for class will be provided.
