Laulu Shawl

If you want to learn cables AND lace, this is your one-stop shop! The Laulu Shawl by Sari Nordlund is a small but always interesting project that will result in an elegant knit. You will learn how to work the pattern in both written and charted instructions, as well as how to work increases and decreases involved in lace. Lastly, you’ll learn how to cable without a cable needle!
Level: Intermediate
Skills Required:
How to knit and purl, prior experience reading a basic pattern, and basic knowledge of decreasing is recommended
Materials:

4mm (US 6) straight or circular needles at least 24” length
3 stitch markers
Tapestry needle
273 yards DK weight yarn
The designer used 1 strand of fingering weight and 1 strand of lace weight yarn held double, but for ease in class, it is strongly recommended that you only use 1 strand of DK weight yarn.
