The Gathering Cape is the perfect class to get a beginner knitter into making their first garment. In this three week class, students will learn how to fit their cape to their taste, increase to shape, and finishing techniques to leave with a cozy winter accessory! This is the first pattern in the Outlander Knitting Book, so whether you are a fan of the series or just love the historical outfits, this class is perfect for you!
Level: Advanced beginner
Skills Required: Knit and purl
Materials: Outlander Knitting book available to purchase at Mother Knitter
Super Bulky yarn. Recommendations include Juniper Moon Rambouillet Air (sample cape knitted in-store), Manos del Uruguay Franca, or Juniper Moon Big Merino Wool.
US11/8mm needles.
