The Walanda hat is knit with classic brioche stitches. Katrin Schubert patterns make brioche knitting easily understood and I am happy to offer this KAL for you to enhance your knitting skills. While this is not a class, during the first session I will introduce the cast on and basic stitches and then we will all cast on the hat together
Advanced Beginner Skill Level.
Must know knit and purl, reading a pattern, and it is recommend watching a You-tube to become familiar with brioche knitting prior to the first session.
Materials required:
240 yds DK weight yarn, 2 contrasting colors (120 yds of each color)
US 4 or 3.5 mm 16” circular needle, DPNS or long circular for crown depending on your preferred method.
Stitch markers, tapestry needle.
