DIY Loom Weaving for Kids

Ages 8-12. Simple, easy, and fun, this class is perfect for children over Spring Break! We will take our time creating a small button pouch using frame loom techniques, with plenty of opportunity for creativity and individuality. Explore fiber arts and learn the basics of weaving with this new and exciting class!

What you will learn
⁃ how to make your own DIY loom using cardboard
⁃ basic plain weave
⁃ How to take your work off the loom and finish the ends
⁃ How to construct a small button pouch

You will need to buy
– 2 or more skeins of fritidsgarn
⁃ tapestry needles (wooden or plastic for children)
⁃ 1 button

What we will provide
⁃ Plastic forks for beating
⁃ cardboard or thick card stock for the looms
