SUMMARY:Olivier Vest Knit-Along
DESCRIPTION:Tuesdays\, June 2\, 9\, 16\, 23\, 30th 2-4pm.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Olivier Vest is the perfect piece for knitters who enjoy stockinette stitch but want to push themselves with shaping. Knit the exact shape and fit of your dreams and customize using different yarns. Whether you use a solid color to keep a minimalist look\, or use color changing yarn to accentuate different angles\, you are sure to be left with a wardrobe staple. \n\n\n\n\n\nA note from the designer on construction: “The Olivier Vest is a waistcoat inspired vest featuring princess panels and piping details. The vest has two length options\, cropped or full\, and can be worked with or without waist shaping. It consists of eight panels that are worked flat\, where some are worked top down and the others are worked side to side. All panels are seamed together using a mattress stitch and the edges are finished using I-cord. There are also two options for the belt at the back of the vest. The first option is a double knitted strap worked on both sides of the back middle panel\, where one strap has an adjustable slide buckle sewn onto the end. For the second option\, two I-cord belt loop straps are worked and sewn along the sides of the back middle panel. A ribbon or similar material can then be thread through the loops and tied at the back of the vest.” \n\n\n\nKnit-Alongs are perfect for the knitter who is looking to join a community and improve their skills. Knit-Alongs are not classes. If you need more in depth help\, please consider booking a private lesson. Email fun@motherknitter.com with questions. \n\n\n\nLevel: Intermediate  \n\n\n\nSkills Required: Swatching\, picking up stitches\, increasing/decreasing\, german short rows\, seaming \n\n\n\nMaterials: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/olivier-vest \n\n\n\nSport-DK weight yarn \n\n\n\nRecommended Yarns: Sophie Rose Fiber Works handspun (custom orders only)\, Manos del Uruguay Marla\, Retrosaria Rosa Pomar Vovo. \n\n\n\n\nReserve your spot!
