Sunburnt Shawl 3 Classes

This is a three-class series on Feb 10, 17 & 24. Lace is a beautiful and versatile style of knitting that has many uses, from motifs in socks and gloves to shawls like this one! Learn the basics of Lace knitting while making the Sunburnt Shawl. Students will learn how to read written and charted instructions for lace and how to incorporate increases and decreases in the design, as well as learn German Short Rows to create the crescent shape. Lastly, learn tips on how to block your shawl so the lace really stands out! Students should cast on all stitches prior to the start of class.
Skills needed: how to knit, purl, and basic knowledge of increasing and decreasing is required

Approx 350 yards sport weight yarn. Dk weight yarn will make the lace knitting easier to see but
will result in larger Shawl. Yarn Recommendations: ArtYarns Merino Cloud, Sandnes Garn Alpakka, Little Wolf Knits Dk, or Divine Yarn Glow dk.
32″ US5/3.75mm needle OR US 6-7 for dk weight version
