Learn to Knit Socks 3 Classes
February 4 @ 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm
This is a three-class series on Feb 4, 11 & 18. Socks are such a fun project and you can learn to knit them as well! Many of us here at Mother Knitter love having socks for on-the-go knitting and we hope that after this class you’ll love them as much as we do. Socks in this class will be knit toe-up with a version of a short row heel called the Fish Lips Kiss Heel by Sox Therapist Designs. This pattern gives directions on how to make a cardboard cut out of your foot to knit the perfect fitting socks! Students should make this
cutout prior to the start of class.
Level: intermediate
Skills required: knit, purl, and how to work in the round using the Magic Loop method. As these
socks need a tighter gauge to fit, it is helpful to have some experience working with small
needle sizes.
Materials:
Fish Lips Kiss Heel pattern by Sox Therapist Designs
US1/2.25mm 30-40″ circular needle
Stitch marker
Tapestry needle
Approx 100 grams fingering weight yarn
Recommendations for sock yarn include Sandnes Garn Sisu, Beachy Breeze BoardWalk Sock,
